In Matthew 17:20, Jesus says to His disciples, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Just as Jesus was speaking to His disciples, He is speaking to us this same thing. But why can’t we believe it? Why do we find it so hard to practice?
Maybe the key lies in our belief of who we are in Christ. When we get saved, we are given a portion of faith from God. It is a gift. A beautiful gift. But it is our job to put it into practice and exercise it, just like a muscle. When you pray, you are to pray with the belief that it’s already done. Not always easy, I know.
When you realize that you are a son or daughter of the Most High God and that his death on the cross has outdone anything you could ever do, your faith is increased. The mustard seed sprouts a little stem, then a little leaf, finally growing into an amazing tree with roots deeply planted in Christ.
Believing that you are more, brings you into a whole new level of the promises of God. He desires you to continually seek Him and grow in your faith. A miracle is always right around the corner and His mighty blessings awaits you.
I encourage you to take one step today in the way of faith. Use what you already have inside you, remember your faith is a gift given by God to you to be blessed and overcome the enemy. Pray and seek Him for guidance.
In His Grace,
